





Haru Gasshuku
Under the ages of Sensei Samarjit Mullick, the Budo Academy of Karate Do in Eastern India, in collaboration with Seiken Kai Karate India, organized a remarkable karate workshop at Indian Public School Howrah on March 17th, 2024. The purpose of this workshop was to showcase the origins of traditional karate and the techniques involved in Full Contact Karate and Gojuryu Karate. Participants had the opportunity to learn from experienced karate instructors like Shihan Sumit Banerjee (5th Dan, Shibucho, South Asian Head of Seiken Kai Karate), Sensei Somnath Sadhu (3rd Dan, Chief of SAARC Countries), Sensei Ajay Lakra (3rd Dan, Branch Head- Odissa), and Sensei Sambhu Nath Kesari (2nd Dan, Roukella) who shared their knowledge and expertise. The workshop included demonstrations of various karate forms, katas, and sparring techniques. It was a valuable experience for both beginners and advanced practitioners, as they gained insights into the rich history and philosophy of karate. The event brought together karate enthusiasts from different backgrounds, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual learning. Overall, the workshop was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and furthering the promotion of karate in India.
